"Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord" is a mis-perception by which one assigns his own "evil" tendencies to the Creator who has nothing to do with "Evil." He did not create evil, nor does He maintain it! God does not believe in retribution. His Mind does not create or operate that way. He does not hold your "evil" tendencies (or past) against you; nor will He hold them against me (Jesus).
[After much study and meditation it became clear that when it arises, we should turn our need for vengeance over to the Creator to be resolved. The tendency is to pray, “smite our enemies!”; however, that is an impossible request of a God who promises to be the source of Love.
[ Faith Question: True or False: “God is Love” ]
Sacrifice is a notion totally unknown to God; it arises solely from fear. Sacrificing, in any way, is a violation of my instruction that you are merciful even as our Father in Heaven is merciful. It has been hard for many Christians to realize that this applies to them.
Good teachers never terrorize their students. To terrorize is to attack, and this results in rejection of what the teacher offers. The result is a learning failure.
I have been correctly referred to as "the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world," but those who represent the lamb as bloodstained do not understand the meaning of the symbol. Correctly understood, it is very simple: the Lamb is a symbol of my innocence. The lion and the lamb lying down together symbolize that: strength and innocence are not in conflict, but naturally live in harmony. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" is another way of saying the same thing. A pure mind knows the truth. It does not confuse destruction with innocence.
An Innocent Mind cannot sacrifice anything. It only honors other minds. Honor is the natural greeting of the truly loved to others who are like them. The lamb "takes away the sins of the world" in the sense that innocence is the meaning of Atonement; and, is entirely and perfectly clear because it exists in light. Many attempt to shroud grace in threats and darkness.
Atonement itself radiates nothing but light and truth; epitomizes harmlessness and sheds only blessing. It could not do this if it arose from anything but perfect innocence. Innocence is wisdom as it is unaware of evil, and is perfectly aware of everything that is true.
The resurrection demonstrated that nothing can destroy truth. Good can withstand any form of evil, as light abolishes all forms of darkness. The Atonement is therefore the perfect lesson. It is the final demonstration that all the other lessons I taught are true. If you can accept this one generalization now, there will be no need to learn from many smaller lessons. You are released from all errors if you believe this.
The innocence of God is the true state of the mind of His Son. In this state your mind knows God, for God is not symbolic; He is Fact. Knowing His Son as he is, you realize that the Atonement, not sacrifice, is the only appropriate gift for God's altar, where nothing except perfection belongs. The understanding of innocence is truth.
A friend of mine, who claims Christianity, but has been crippled by today's religious teachings, offered, "I would like to be your spiritual counselor." The offer came from a place of love. It was greatly appreciated. I respectfully declined. I offered him guidance based on one thing only... the Love of the Creator.
The Bible has become a weapon; a modern day tool of division!
He knows I scoff at the validity of mans translation and interpretation of the "word of god". According to ten years of intense study and teaching the Holy Bible led me to this conclusion:
- God is Love
- God wants our love & gratitude above all else
- God wants us to love each other the way he loves us
- BUT -
How many interpretations of three simple, universally inclusive precepts can one possibly need? NIV, New NIV, New American Standard, The Book, Conversational, King James, New King James, New King James Revised, etcetera
Who would pay $50. or $100. for a leather bound, embossed, gilded version of a book with three lines of truth in it- regardless of the preciousness of that truth?
Summarizing the very words of Jesus Christ would crash an industry! What would we talk about at church on Sunday?
(How we're doing on our walk, that's what.)
My Philosophy as of 2010:
I am convinced
after 48 years on this earth, and
after really getting to know
the most religious person
I have ever met, ( Neitzche would be proud of her)
that “God” as we know him
and have been taught to know him
does not exist.
I believe in a creator.
That's where convention & I part.
Like a woman
who is born with all the eggs
she will ever need for reproduction,
I believe the creator
has endowed us with
all the tools we need
to accomplish our mission
in this lifetime;
whatever that may be.
I believe that mission
is slightly different
for each and every one of us.
I do not believe
in interference -of any sort- by a god,
nor do I believe in grace pre se.
I believe we are all
individual parts of the whole.
When one is hurt, the whole hurts.
Love is not “the answer”,
Compassion is.
I do not believe in the
riteness or wrongness
of any religion.
If religion is organized,
it is by default,
invariably,
wrong
period
.
The children of Abraham
not just the Muslims,
are warriors,
dissenters,
schizophrenics!
Scriptural justification
of their actions,
is an abortion
to the concept of
holiness, or an
all powerful deity.
Their sermon
IS IN
their actions.
By their actions,
god is war.
We do not eat
by gods grace;
nor, will I thank
the same god
who lets people suffer and starve
for my meals.
We do not succeed
by Gods grace
but I am grateful for
and aim to be
a good steward of
my talents.
We do not fail
because God has a lesson.
We are ultimately accountable
for our actions.
We are successful
or not
according to the stewardship
of the tools we have been given.
I have hard proof of these things.
The lesson was painfully learned.
These answers have brought me
unspeakable peace.
These answers
made me feel foolish
for participating in
organized religion
as long as I did.
Embarrassed...
When one sneezes:
god bless you
I don't believe
you have an evil spirit
trying to get out!
I wish you wellness:
Gesundheit
I am now free to love & live
without guilt.
Thanks to my many teachers.
 Nietzsche said, and I agree:
If Christian dogmas of a vengeful God, universal sinfulness, election by divine grace and the danger of eternal damnation were true,
-it would be a sign of weak mindedness and lack of character not to become a priest, apostle, or hermit
And,
-in fear and trembling, to work solely on one's own salvation;
-It would be senseless to lose sight of one's eternal advantage for the sake of temporal comfort.
If we assume that these things are at any rate believable and true then the every day Christian cuts a miserable figure;
He is a man who really cannot count to three,
and
Who, precisely on account of his spiritual imbecility
--does not desire to be punished so harshly as Christianity promises to punish him.
. . .
Paul thought of the idea and Calvin rethought it, that for innumerable people, damnation has been decreed from eternity, and that this beautiful world plan was instituted to reveal the glory of God;
Heaven and Hell and humanity are thus supposed to exist to satisfy the vanity of God!
Paul has remained Saul after all !!! : The persecutor of God.

A special thanks to Laurie, who operates first out of love. I have never had the privilege of being associated with someone who has so delightful a perspective.
