I can Dream, Can't I?
If I were Dictator of the United States of America for a day:
The first order of business would be:
Mandate Term Limits, immediately. I would begin with those who had been in office the longest. They would immediately be fired (I would consider having the Communists [Dem's & RINO's] dropped by the military as traitors).
Eliminate All Residual Benefits for "Service" retroactively & immediately.
Service should be exactly that.
Becoming a Public Servant in the position of Leadership should not be rewarded with lifetime benefits. The Ted Kennedy's of this world would be kicked out and cut off instantly. Any payment or benefits granted to any President, Senator or Congressman would be terminated immediately, especially including retirement! Service is not a JOB that one ever retires from. It is not right to make a career of Politics.
Then I would:
Teach Government Employees three words. Please, and Thank You. Then I would teach them:
Application. As a Government Employee, they need to remember, they are being paid by us. They need to treat us as Clients. Treat me with respect and WORK for me when I call.
Road Work. Again, we are the clients. Road Crews who block roads and work in the day time, especially during peak hours, are an affront to my senses. When Shopping Malls remodel, The work crews arrive AFTER the mall stores close. Construction is not allowed to even begin for an hour after closing time! How dare the road crews block the roads during Peak Traffic Hours because it's convenient for them.
How many gallons of gasoline are wasted, needlessly, because of traffic jams due to construction?
Road Crews blocking the flow of traffic during peak hours are no less than environmental terrorists. The EPA should be dispatched on THEM for "Excessive Pollution" and the municipalities should be fined the same way refineries, Paint & Body shops and Dry Cleaners are! My guess the air pollution is far worse than anyone can begin to imagine. But, because the Government is in charge, we just take the screwing. Why? Because we KNOW trying to do something about it is futile!
